More Vacay

So far I have covered the road trip up (Friday and Saturday), the visit with friends (Sunday and Monday), white water rafting (wednesday), but now I have to back up. I missed a day. I didn't talk about what we did on Tuesday. Tuesday we took the day and went up to Williams Creek Lake. It is up in the San Juan National Forest and another one of our favorite picnic spots. It was just the four of us this day. Archer had been up early so Gran and Pa didn't get much sleep. Gran needed a nap and a 3 hour trip to the quilt store to make her feel better ; )~

So we packed up our cooler, picnic blankets, folding chairs, bumbo seat and tray, chips, snacks, water shoes, water clothes, towels, hats, sunscreen, insect replent, diaper bag, change of clothes and camera and headed off to the mountains..do we come prepared or what?!?!
From Colorado - entire trip photos

Christian loved the water (as we have already established). This time we dressed him in his swimsuit and let him get as wet as he wanted...he really wanted to because the lake water was just as cold as it could be.

Archer and I had our own little photo session.

We also posed for a potential christmas card picture.

After we packed everything back up we headed home to get ready for our Chuck Wagon dinner at Astraddle-A-Saddle (cute name huh?!?).

They pick you up and take you in a horse pulled wagon up to the dinner spot. After dinner you roast marshmellows and have a campfire sing-a-long...Unless your name is Christian, then you just want to run around in the mud...you don't like roasted marshmellows and all you want to do it throw sticks. So I chased him around most of the evening. It was still fun though.

So that was our Tuesday in Colorado.
