Fortress of Solitude

Superman made a tent in the living room this weekend too. He was very busy. Riding bikes, climbing trees, and building tents.

His little brother Green Lantern was allowed to come in for a visit too.

Park time

It was a fun time at the park this weekend.

This isn't Chris' old jeep the CJ7, but it will do in a pinch.

Big Boy Bike

Christian rode his bike all the way to the Big Park and all the way back.

He did great and didn't tire out.
Dad taught him how to stop and how to look out for cars.

More from Ted and Joe from the Office

Ted and Joe and their friend Nurse Betty have had more adventures.  Apparently Ted isn't happy with the recent office moves.  He has resorted to blackmail.

I demand to go back up front with all those pretty girls! I'm tired of sitting here looking at your face. Meet my demands, or the nurse gets it. The chocolate will explode, and she will be fondue. Fondue, I tell you. Fondue!

Sincerely,

Ted

What I want to be when I grow up

Lazy Saturdays are the BEST

We had a very lazy weekend. The boys have received some toy catalogues and are starting to plan out their christmas lists.

I did mention it was a LAZY weekend, didn't I? He isn't asleep, he is laying on the floor watching TV.

Brothers

If you have noticed in my recent posts (and pictures I have on facebook)
The capes in our house are getting a work out. Here the boys are playing at the church playground. Yes, we let them wear their capes to church....God is the ultimate super hero, so I think he would approve.

AWE! Brother hugs are the best!

Party time

Here is Christian with his friend Erin playing dress up as a recent birthday party.

Here are our friends Brooke and Addison. They used to be in school with the boys, but they moved to College Station and we miss them. They come back for a visit last weekend! It was so fun to see them and see how the girls have grown.

They are super buddies Super Rocky and Super Christian...in super capes, with super batman party favors.

The Monster at the end of this book

Back story:  This was one, if not my VERY FAVORITE book as a child.  Okay, well maybe Santa Mouse is my absolute favorite, but this one is 2nd.  I buy it often to give to friends as baby presents because I loved it so much.  We have had the book in our house since we found out we were pregnant with Christian.

Today:  This book has gotten a lot of attention in the last few weeks.  The boys ask us to read it over and over again.  Now Christian has memorized this book.  I LOVE IT!!!  He told me last night he could read the book to us.  He came over to where Archer and I were sitting and read it almost word for word.  I can't tell you how big the smile on my face was.  I love that he reads it with the same enthusiasm that Chris and I put into it when we read it to them.  (there is a parent competition to see who read this book the best.)   He then read it to Chris and Archer.  He then read it to Archer at bed time.  Then he read it to Chris and I for his bedtime story. That is when I decided I need to record this.

There is a slight hitch in the middle because Christian thought I stopped recording and that he needed to start over...that isn't part of the book : )
Side note: I recorded it on my phone and the only way I know how to post a recording from my phone to my blog is to make a movie out of the recording and set it to pictures.  The pictures don't really follow anything about the story, they are just there to give the recording something to attach too.

One of the purposes of this blog is to serve as a digital scrapbook for our family.  This is definitely one of those occasions.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Then

Stacy and Jonathan's first dance was to the Brad Paisley song "Then".  I made this little video to go along with their first dance song.   And no, I'm not getting tired of find things to do with this wedding pictures yet.  I might at some point, but since I love them and I love pictures...it is a win, win for me.

Here is the link .....Then by Brad Paisley

C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N

Guess who can spell his name now!!?!?!??! And boy is it a long name, so he keeps reminding me when he goes to write it. We are so proud of this new accomplishment.

Not to be left out, Archer had a major accomplishement this weekend too (but I promise no pictures). He went pee-pee in the potty. With the help of his big brother who undressed him because he told Bubba he needed to go potty. I was able to witness the event.

Now when I tried to talk him into going potty the next morning he wanted nothing to do with me or my help going potty. So Chris and I have officially put Christian in charge of potty training Archer.

Man this parenting thing gets easier the more kids you have : )

Bowling with Cousins

Christian's bowling style - the more you dance, the more pins you knock down.

The Wedding of the Decade

The wedding of the Decade is just days away.  Here are a few pictures from the BIG Bachelorette Party a few weeks ago.

I have to say this was the best planned and thought out party I have ever been too.  Sassy is lucky to have some amazing girls in her life.

Birthday Boys

We had the big birthday party weekend. Since all our family was in town we celebrated Archer and Chris' birthdays all on the same day. Archer with a Dora Diego Party. Chris with a BBQ bash.

I was also crazy enough to think it was a good idea to have my gall bladder removed the week between the birthday parties and Sassy's upcoming wedding. I have no idea what I was thinking. I am not getting around well and exhausted. I feel like I have been in 3 marathons and can't move another step. Hope this all gets better by Sunday !
