40 to 40

It is a short 40 days until my 40th birthday. I felt the need to countdown in some way. So my countdown is meant to remind me that age is just a number...So here I go.

"Age may wrinkle the face but lack of enthusiasm wrinkles the soul."-Danish proverb.

100 days school

We reached a milestone last week.  100 days of school!!!
To celebrate the occasion the class was assigned a project...A collection of 100.  The class assignment was the collection could be groups of 5's 10's or 20s...Christian selected 20s and he really wanted to put 20 pencils on this board.  This became a challenge, hunting down 20 pencils in the house...but we managed to scrap together enough.  Then 20 star stickers, then 20 Thomas the train shaped pasta pieces, then 20 popsicle sticks, then 20 more stickers....whew we were running out of room!
Christian successfully attending the first 100 days of school.  Then on day 104 he had his first sick day. So much for perfect attendance.  I have to say I was very impressed with his attendance thus far because goodness knows he had plenty of sick days at ALLCC.  Guess being a daycare kid did pay off after all.
