First off, how cute is this kiddo?!?!?!?!!? ADORABLE RIGHT! Well I think so. Don't mind the scratches on his forehead. He has been sick this week and cranky. I really need to trim those nails so he will quick doing that.
We have a rolly polly boy on our hands. He starts on his back, then flips to his tummy in no time. He even did a little army crawl today.

Budget 2009
The budget is taking some serious work. Chris has us drive to my office to pick up my last paystub and then he used not one, but two computers to put the final touches on our 2009 365 day Cash flow budget. Such determination!

Birthday wrap up
I've been trying to blog about the big birthday party and other birthday related events, but we got busy and now the littlest man is sick. Just a yucky cough and cold, but needing lots more attention.
Christian's party was so much fun. We had a great turn out of family and friends. He loved opening all his presents and has played with all of them. He loved his Diego cake. He talked about his cake and presents over and over and over again.
On his actual birthday I took a big cookie to his classroom and he and his class had that for their afternoon snack. It was fun to share his birthday will all his friends at school.
His teacher brought him up on the special birthday step and everyone sang happy birthday to him. I have a little video of it and it turned out really cute.
We just can't believe we have a 3 year old little boy. He and his brother have filled our lives with so much fun and enjoyment. There is something about seeing the world through a child's eyes that is so sweet and enlightening. It softens you some and make you protective at the same time.

Four Star Christmas Present
I enjoyed one of my christmas presents last night. Stacy and Jonathan gave me tickets to the BRAD PAISLEY concert for Christmas and last night was the concert. IT WAS AWESOME!!!! Everything about it was great. Darius Rucker opened and then Dierks Bentley...then on to Brad. He played for about 2 hours and I got home way past my bedtime! Here are my pics
You can probably see the excite in my face in the pics. That was taken just before the concert got going. I was so excited for the concert and it didn't disappoint one little bit. The seating was amazing thanks to Jonathan!!! We were in a suite and it was a great set up...no bathroom lines to stand in, there was one in the suite. Brad played all my favorites and then some extra stuff I hadn't heard. I have been a fan for a long time and have seen him one other time. It was for my birthday at the Travis Co. Livestock show, not the same kind of set up as this BIG concert. Brad had lots of cool stage effects. Ray Benson, local Austinite, even played with him and they sang "Miles and Miles of Texas". It was great and the crowd loved it.

Birthday Excitement Begins
Christian is really ready for his birthday to be here. He knows it is coming up soon. He keeps saying "Open Christian's present's tomorrow" and we have to say "No, we will open presents this Saturday". He has seen his pinata in the gargage and knows what it is for ...he was just staring at it, not paying attention to anything else.
We went to his friend Landon's party this weekend and the kids had a great time.
We are looking forward to a fun family oriented party this weekend. We are also planning to take a BIG cookie to school on his true birthday to celebrate with all his friends at school.
This year should be so much fun for him and all of us that love him!

Storytime
Christian loves to read and now he loves to pretend. He has started to tell stories. I took a few videos of his stories. If you double click on the inserted picture it should take you to the picasa folder that contains all the videos.
All his stories start "Once upon a time, a long time ago.." and the usually include something about a tickle monster (that is from Daddy), sometimes they are about Larryboy too and one of them is about a Giant with a big tail. At some point in the stories someone is usually sleeping too.
From the videos you can tell Archer loves these stories too.
And if you got nervous watching one of those videos, I promise no one got hurt.

Super Cutest Couple
They are the cutest couple ever and we need to vote and let the rest of Austin know ;)
Ok, Ok, I know I'm biased, but Valentine's Day is coming up and they are pretty darn cute!
So please help them out by voting.
It is Stacy Rudisill (my niece and the boys Aunt Sassy) and Jonathan Rose, her boyfriend of over a year.
Here they are with a super cute baby at Christmas!
Go to this link and you will have to click thru the pictures.
http://www.austin360.com/spas/content/spas/interactive/hotnot_couples/index.html
They ask if the couple is cute or SUPER cute. Well Stacy and Jonathan are WAY SUPER CUTE!
They are picture #256 when I voted this morning. You don't have to vote on every picture, I didn't.

Sick Baby
I have to say, he is the happiest and cutest sick baby I have ever seen or dealt with. We think we are dealing with a stomach bug. I picked him up early from daycare after they called to tell me he was sick. We have had a few issues (I promise I won't give the details here), but after each round he continues to be the happy, sweet little man he always is. We have each gone thru a few outfits. Me 2, him 4. I am on laundry load #5 too.

Baptism

| From Archer Baptism |
Archer's Baptism was this weekend and we had quite a time. Saturday was full of errands getting ready for Sunday and we were able to get lots of this accomplished for big brother's birthday party coming up too.
Archer was a champ during the Baptism. He didn't mind the water at all. We had lots of family in attendance too. We were even surprised by a visit from Gran and Pa at the last minute.
Memaw and Dodaddy were so sweet to host everyone for a BBQ lunch and cake afterwards.
There were wagon rides for all too.

Giving God my HDTV.
So yesterday we FINALLY made it back to church after missing most all of December. In the budget we plan for our giving at church and have it done automatically most of the time, but at the end of the year we are able to give to the building fund. Since we never made it in to Church the month of December, I wrote the check during services yesterday. Chris reminded me of how much it was and that we could now give it.
That is the 1st part of my story. The second part is that I have been bugging Chris about getting a new TV. You know a nice new HDTV, smaller, flatter, WAY better picture. It isn't looking good for this year's budget, but a girl can dream, right?!?!
Then last night Chris and I had this conversation
Chris "Babe I'm really proud of you today."
Me, "Proud? why?"
Chris, "You gave God your HDTV."
Me, "What?! I gave my HDTV to God? What do you mean?"
Chris, 'Well, the money we gave today could have gone to the HDTV you have been wanting."
Me LOL (really I did)
It was funny, because I truly never gave it a second thought about holding the money back to get a TV...really ! Funny, I think the budget has be trained....well maybe in this case it is GOD that has me trained and I think I like that.

New Normal
For every change routine at our house we like to say we have a new normal.
Like getting married and living with another person...new normal.
Having 1 infant...new normal.
Having a child in daycare...new normal
Having a toddler...a new normal
Having a 2nd child...new normal
Having 2 children in daycare....new normal.
Our latest new normal is Mommy dropping off and daddy picking up. It might take some getting used to, but we are off to a great start today. Chris started his new earlier schedule and I started my new later schedule. I got up when he started getting ready and hopped on the treadmill. The morning went smooth with just Mommy around (thank goodness). I got to work just 3 minutes late. So the schedule need a little tweeking.

Weekend fun
This weekend was nice a relaxing. Since we had a short week and the 1st to play catch up, we had more time to enjoy the weekend. Friday night I was able to go out with "the girls", Cinda, Christy, Starlyn & Tallie. We usually take about a month to plan a girls night because our schedules are hard to matchup, but on a rare night a single phone call asking "Are you free tonight?" ends up with friends hanging out and having dinner. I didn't make it home until 10:45!! now that is a late night for me. Don't feel sorry for Chris, he was able to enjoy the Dark Knight in peace and quiet (well once the boys feel asleep).
Saturday night was couples night. Chris and I had lined up a baby sitter. He had a need to go bowling. Neither one of us bowl well, but we have fun when we do. We called Tallie and her "new friend"Chris and they joined us. Chris (Tallie's, not mine) pretty much wiped the floor with the rest of us, but it was fun all the same.
Sunday we finally made it back to Church. December was so busy we just didn't make it as much as we should have. Church usually means lunch after with Grama and whoever else is at Church that day. This list can include Shelby, Riley, Bailey, Shane, Cameron and sometimes a few from the older generations...I am one of the older generations ; )

Crockpotting ; )
I bought 2 packs along with some cabbage, carrots, mushrooms and onions for another dish. I think these are the most hated vegetable by a certain Mr. Chris. But I love them and rarely eat them fresh, so I made a yummy veggies stir-fry medley.
Here is the finished product for the black-eyed peas. They took longer to cook than I thought but they tasted great. Since I made such a large batch for the crock-pot I get lots of leftovers....all for me. Chris just eats the customary spoonful for good luck on New Year's day.
