His main birthday request was new tires for his mountain bike. That was easy enough. I went to Mellow Johnny's on 4th and Nueces and fixed him up with new tires and tubes. Monday night Christian and I made a run to get Daddy some birthday cards. Christian picked the biggest and baddest Transformers card there was.
He wasn't too interested in picking out a card for Archer, so I took care of that one.
Then he said "Mom, Dad needs a toy." So we made our way over to the toy aisle of the CVS. Not much selection, but enough for a 3 year old. At first we saw some race cars, but then we saw the perfect gift for Daddy.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
He had some help opening presents. In fact he got to open his present early. Word to Wise, don't go shopping with a 3 year old and expect to wait another day to open the present. We weren't in the house 2 minutes and Christian was asking if he could play with Dad' "under turtles" (AKA ninja turtles). So Dad got an early birthday present.
On Chris' true birthday, he and I went out for a nice Dinner at Max's Wine Dive. I sent him 2 menus from 2 diffent places, but blacked out the names. He was told to pick his birthday restaurant based on menu selection only. We had a nice night out. Sassy said at home with the boys. Archer was tired and it didn't take him long to go to sleep.
A funny thing happened after we got home. Chris came out of our room after we got home and said "Christian is still awake". It was only about 9 o'clock, so that wasn't too bad. But what happened is the bathroom door to his room was left open as well as the bathrom door to the hallway. So when we got home there was lot so ligth and noise that was keeping him awake. We both went in and he started to tell us that "Sassy wasn't right"...because she left both doors open. Leave it to Christian to tell you if you are right or wrong.
