Like Father, like son

There is story from Chris' childhood. It is about him taking a magic marker to the shag carpet in the dining room. It was when he was about 2 or 3 years old. That stain and shag carpet remained there for many, many, many years. Other stories go that there were lots of legos and contacts found in that shag carpet once it was taken up.

Well today Chris was on the computer doing some research on TV's and I was in Christian's room changing his sheets. Christian kept telling me not to cross "this line" because it was dangerous, it was a crocodile line. He kept warning me over and over again. I was in his room still putting on sheets. I heard Chris talking to him about the same things, the line, it was dangerous if it was crossed, there were crocodiles..then I walk out of his room to see this....

apparently the line wasn't imaginary, just the crocodiles. I gasped and said "Chris!" He had no idea what Christian was doing either, and he just behind his chair at his feet. Christian has taken a marker from a toy of his and drawn his crocodile line and then kept drawing it down the hall about 10 feet. The best part of the line was near the bathroom, I guess it had the most crocodiles.

Chris and I both immediately laughed and thought of Chris' childhood story. Chris said, well I guess we know who he takes after now.

We explained you don't use pen, markers or crayons on the floors or the walls. Christian did a great job of helping me clean it up.

We also said a little prayer of thanks for having laminate floors and not shag carpeting.
