Magic Kingdom - day 4

We were back on track Thursday and we headed to the park as early as we could.
I ran into this lovely lady (from Mary Poppins I think) on Main Street and had to get my picture with her.
The boys loved goofing around with Daddy.
 Another ride on Pooh's Adventure
And another spin in the Tea cups.  I don't think they are Christian's favorite

You can tell from this video Christian was being brave riding the tea cups again.

Here are some of our great photopass pictures

Another go around on Buzz Lightyear's ride.  The boys were getting really good as shooting Zurg!

The second half of our day we spent at Epcot.  We arrived while the monsoon rains hit but trudged along anyway.  Here are the boys ready to face the rain!

I could resist a stop with the photo pass people and grab this picture of us in the pouring (and it was pouring) rain.
We ran as fast as we could to the BIG GLOBE that houses Spaceship Earth.  Surprisingly this was one of our favorite rides in Epcot.   You take a trip through time and an outline of inventions that have brought us to where we are now, then at the end you are asked several questions about the future.    Below is the "world" Christian and I created.
At the end of the ride that are lots of fun games to play and it kept us all out of the rain until it was time for us to meet the rest of the family for dinner.   This game below was pushing power cells around to create a city.

We stopped in Canada from some pictures with totem poles

Thursday night ended in France with us all enjoying our last BIG family dinner.  Charles and Ann left one day early to head to Pensacola Beach, FL and the rest of the Wenck/Choate Clan had one more day at the parks. Friday was our BIG Star Wars Weekend at Hollywood Studios.

Memory Book

More Disney posts to come, but here is a book I just made over at shutterfly.  My year on the yearbook committee really paid off.

Here comes the rain

Tuesday we started at Animal Kingdom.  Again we got there about 1 hour before the park officially opened.  Once we were in about 1/2 the guest wanted to ride the safari and the other have wanted to ride Everest Expedition.  This morning we had the whole gang, Austin Wencks, Huntsville Choates and Memaw and Dodaddy.  Our gang headed to the Safari!!

The safari was a great ride and we saw lots and lots of wonderful animals.   After the safari a few of us (Jack, Chris, Christian, Abby and Myself) headed over to Expedition Everest (Once of Disney's wilder rollercoasters).  The others rode the train and saw some more animals.

Christian said he was ready for a big kid roller coaster and boy was his right.  He says he liked it, but just didn't want to ride it again.   After that we all met up for lunch at Tusker house to meet more fun Disney Regulars and get some lunch and autographs.   Donald greeted us when we arrived.

Daisy stopped by to say HI! too.
After lunch we all headed over to the Lion King show.  It was just great.  We were the Giraffes!

As much as Christian liked all things Star Wars at Hollywood Studios, Archer loved all things Lion King.  He was thrilled at the show.   Christian on the other hand could barely keep his eyes open, and then just fell asleep.

Once we came out of the Lion King theater, the rain started.  We all put on our ponchos and went back to our cabins to find our babies in special places.

After resting and letting some of the rain pass, we all headed over to the Magic Kingdom for the first time.  We were able to grab a spot out of a quick rain storm and eat some dinner.  Then it was off to explore an empty Magic Kingdom.  We started off the Pirates of the Caribbean, then Aladdin's carpet ride.  Then to its a small world...then about every other ride in Fantasy land and Tomorrow land.  The park was very empty and we didn't have to wait in long lines.  It was great.

This is one of the castle with my cool fisheye lens
The Magic Kingdom has to be my favorite of all the parks.  It is just the true original and there is no other quite like it.

Wednesday we got a later started and went to Epcot first.  This was the one day we didn't get up early and go to the parks and that was a mistake.  We weren't able to get fast passes to the best ride at Epcot and then almost as soon as we got there it started to rain and didn't let up.   Chris, Christian, Archer, Memaw and DoDaddy and I called it a day earlier than the Choates and headed back to the cabins for some take our and a restful evening at home.  I really don't think I have any pictures from the day at the parks.  Oh wait I found some from my iphone.  It was turtle talk with Crush.  The Nemo ride and turtle talk was fun, but that was our high light of Epcot.  We dodged the rain most of the time we were there and just didn't enjoy this park as much as we could have without the rain.
