Road Tripping - Day 2

We headed out of New Orleans on our way for a swamp tour.  Cajun Encounters was our destination.  The tour didn't disappoint.  We saw lots of gators.  One of the tour guides called the boys "lil gator bait".
 Cute gator bait!

We saw some pretty cool sites and lots of gators.  We were deep in the swamp when we came across this tree.  Story goes that many years ago the entire swamp was clear cut of cypress trees to build New Orleans, so most cypress in the swamp now are only 50 years old.  This crazy old looking tree is diseased to it was never cut down.  It was a meeting tree for the old moonshiners of the area.  They would meet at the tree to talk business.

To pass the time, Archer got a hold of the camera for a while.

Here is a gator.  Our Capt. Nolan had his own pet alligator that he let us hold or pet (we decided to pet)

Christian didn't make it through the entire tour.  He feel fast asleep, Archer on the other hand wanted out of the boat and out of his life vest.  The tour was two hours and that was about one hour too long for these boys.

We headed back on the road and continued on to Tallahassee.  The rest of the family meet up with us there.   We arrived first, found a pizza place that delivered and had a pizza party in our room.  It was on to Disney the next day!
