Christmas Day 2009

Finally Christmas day. We opened all our advent calendar days and it is finally here.
Santa was good to the boys.

Chris and I were up first, followed closely by Christian, then Archer. Once everyone was ready, the boys made their way into the living room to see what Santa had left. Christian's first words were YEA! Followed by "It is just what I wanted."

It was a whirlwind of opening presents, then playing in the Bat cave, opening a few more presents, playing in the Bat cave, getting a super cool hot wheels race track, playing with the Bat cave. We all got wonderful and thoughtful gifts for Christmas. Lots of movies, games, clothes, cookingware...and not to mention TOYS!

The rest of the day Christian spent in his room alternating between playing with his Hot Wheels race track and the Bat cave.

Archer was banned from his brother's room for most of the day. There were brief moments when the door was open and unattended and he made his way into the forbidden territory. Archer enjoyed a little extra time with Mom, Dad, Gran and Pa (Pa's lap is probably his favorite place to sit) since his big brother locked himself away with his toys.

Chris and Christian played a new PS3 game, Lego Batman. Then when Christian was tired, I stepped in for him.

We enjoyed a nice BIG lunch with Gran and Pa. Then we settled down for an afternoon nap and a little movie watching.

Minus the coughs that Archer and I have, We all had a wonderful Christmas.

Christmas Eve

The boys and I stayed home on Christmas eve, while Dad went to work for part of the day. I made lots of food for Christmas Day lunch with Gran and Pa, but we will have plenty for leftovers the whole weekend. We cleaned up and made room for the new toys we just knew Santa was bringing and that we would be getting from our family.

Archer and I are both not feeling so hot. We both have some awful sounding coughs.

The boys were allowed to open one presents...that Mommy picked out. Surprising enough they were pajamas....and they MATCHED. Wow and just in time for a picture in front of the tree. Who could have planned that any better?!?

We took a quick ride around the neighborhood to look at all the Christmas lights.

Christian had informed me earlier that evening that we need to leave food out for the reindeer. Well we didn't have any food specifically for reindeers, but we think they liked the apple and corn flakes we left for them.

Then we made Santa a couple of cookies. Christian dictated a note to me and then he signed the note...he also signed Archer's note for him too.
I thought it was sweet when we asked Christian where we should put the cookies and milk, he said by the manger. hmmm maybe he really does get the true meaning of Christmas at 3.

We explore Uncle Bubbies place.

every once in a while I give up my camera and actually have my picture taken. Thanks Cameron.

Aunt Pat and Uncle Bubbie are the hosts with the MOST!

Christmas at Gran and Pa's

Our first party of the year was at Gran and Pa's and boy did the Wenck boys make out like bandits!

Christian very first present was BumbleBee Transformer...he talks, he moves, he shoots things.

Do you think he liked it?

Those 2 huge green bags are full of toys and clothes, one for each boy from Gran and Pa...oh my!

Sassy and Aunt Sheri helped Archer with his bag.

Christian got a big boy Diego bike from Pa.

not to be out done. Miss Addison had a big bag too. Hers was full of cute girl things. Things we don't get to see as much in our house.
she is a natural on the laptop

who ya calling Archer?

Gran made lots of her presents this year.
Archer has to check out Jonathan beard.
there was also lots of football watching.

"He went to Jared"

Jud got a snuggie!!! (no, not really, but you can't tell from this picture : )

But Christmas really isn't about the presents you get or the ones your give...it is about spending time with people you love.
