Gymnastics
For those that couldn't attend, here is lots of pictures and videos from Christian first Kindergym Recital.

Here are the three boys in his class. There is one little girl in the class but she didn't make the recital. They are Parker, Christian and Landon. Parker is a cute little guy in the dove class, the class below Christian's. Parket is 3. He did so great keeping up with these 4 year olds.
Landon and Christian are life long friends....yes, life long, they have known each other since they were only 6 months old. They are buddies and Miss Wendy says she sometimes has her handsful with them in class because they love to play together. She did say that they were very well behaved for the recital.

Landon doing a roll.

Landon on the bars.

Christian upside down on the bars.
Big Finish!!
Ribbon of accomplishment. Not sure what the pouty lip is about.
With his teacher Miss Wendy, who I think much have mountains of patience.
Here comes the videos...lots and lots of videos.

Pound sign, Christianmark
This is Christian's new favorite song. He thinks Kevin is singing "pound sign, CHRISTIANmark,..."
So far I have the strongest musical influence on him.....he has yet to learn a Led Zepplin song.

more Backyard additions
We are still getting the backyard pulled together. All the hard work had been done, now we get to add some finishing touches.
Finishing touch #1. Hanging planter on shed.
Touch #2....tilt patio umbrella, in a shade of blue
Rosemary bushes. The rosemary we had to buy from the store for he chicken cost $2.50 and it was like 6 sprigs. These bushes will give us rosemary forever.
I have a little herb garden started too. We got creative and made the garden out of a hand-me-down container that Memaw and Dodaddy gave us. When they received this is was for Christmas and filled with yummy treats.

winner, winner, chicken dinner
This might be the best dinner I have ever made....ever!
There is a story behind this chicken, but if you have even thought of joining PETA or becoming a vegetarian, maybe you should stop reading now.
The story is Chris knows someone at work that has a working farm. Let's just say Chris "helped" with this chicken. He went to the farm and assisted in the processing of this chicken. They are free-range, grass fed chickens.
For the first chicken we made a mediterrian roasted chicken.
Above is my pre-cooked chicken in my cobalt blue castiron dutch oven.
This is the cookbook picture. The cookbook is from our honeymoon trip to Sonoma Valley.
The looks are similar, but the taste was amazing. The roasted veggies tasted so good. And the chicken!!! Well Chris said it was the best chicken he has ever tasted.

Words
Sometime people ask about the boys development, one compared to the other. How early did Christian walked compared to Archer? How well does Archer speak compared to Christian?
I guess Christian did things a little faster, but not much. Christian walked at 1 year, Archer at 13 months.
First words - Christian's at 11 Months, Archer's at 12 months.
I remember writing this post when I first started this blog.
It was a running list of all the words Christian could say at 19 months.
Archer is now 20 months and his vocabulary is pretty good too.
Here are some of his words
wash hands
sit
socks
shoes
NO
Istian (Christian)
Momma
Dada
eat
ELMO
ERNIE
BERT
nom, om,mon (Cookie Monster - he acts like Cookie Monster eating cookies)
outside
baff (bath)
teef (teeth)
HEY
cow
moo
dog
truck
ball
cheese
cat
elephant
book
go
outside
apple
down
up
UP (this is what he calls Lightin' McQueen from Cars)
juice
awa (aqua - aka drink)
night-night
hat
nose
light
ear
face
head
That is all I can remember for now, but the list grows almost daily.

Camping
I would love to have a long post all about our camping weekend. Tell about how much fun we had...how dirty Christian got and how much he loved every minute of it. But there are 2 things that keep me from that kind of a post.
1) My computer at home has gotten progressively slower and slower and slower and I almost can't bear to try and work on it.
2) I would normally do a post during my lunch hour or on a short break, but work is so busy that I just don't have the time to do that either.
My compromise is to post a slideshow with all our pictures.
Christian had a wonderful time camping with Raphael. We had a great time camping and hanging out with Mark and Emmanuelle (Raphael's parents). Fun thing about camping is you have to pack the same amount for 1 day as you would for 5 days (with the exception of food). We took a bunch of stuff and used most of it....we forgot a few things.
We had a wonderful steak dinner, courtesy of Mark (our chef) and Chris (his sui (sp?) chef). Same thing with breakfast.
Christian told me Sunday morning he wanted to go camping "lots of lots of lots of lots of times" and then told me it was a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
Sorry for the short post, but hope everyone enjoys the pictures...
P.S. I am taking donations towards a new computer :)
