There is a story behind this chicken, but if you have even thought of joining PETA or becoming a vegetarian, maybe you should stop reading now.
The story is Chris knows someone at work that has a working farm. Let's just say Chris "helped" with this chicken. He went to the farm and assisted in the processing of this chicken. They are free-range, grass fed chickens.
For the first chicken we made a mediterrian roasted chicken.
Above is my pre-cooked chicken in my cobalt blue castiron dutch oven.
This is the cookbook picture. The cookbook is from our honeymoon trip to Sonoma Valley.
The looks are similar, but the taste was amazing. The roasted veggies tasted so good. And the chicken!!! Well Chris said it was the best chicken he has ever tasted.
