Salyers visit Austin

This Memorial weekend we had the chance to visit with some friends from California. Scott and I went to high school together and he and his family now live in LA. They were backing visiting family for the long weekend. We all met up at the Zilker train. Jennifer and Scott's daughter Siena is about Archer's age. You could really tell that they are the same age...they are in the same "Don't do that" " Don't say that" phase. They are also expecting their 2nd child in October, a son named Austin.







It was great catching up with the Salyers family and can't wait to meet Mr. Austin.

San Antonio Zoo

We recently visited the San Antonio Zoo with some of our buddies from school.  

 Here is Rocky, Christian, Landon and Bobbilynn posing on the zoo lions.  

 Here are three of the original buddies.  Ethan buddy couldn't make this trip.  We missed him and his Mom Laura.  A few years ago we all took a Sea World Trip together.   These guys have been friends since they we about 6 months old.  That is very long time when you are 5 and a half.

 Bobbilynn has been adopted as an official buddy too.  She is just one of the crew now.  Here are her and Christian hamming it up. 

 There was lots of bronze animal statutes for the kids to pose on.

 Here is an amazing butterfly.  The butterfly room might have been my favorite because it was so cool to see so many butterflies around.  The boys didn't like it as much though.

 Then low and behold and butterfly lands on Rocky's shirt.  He survived!

 I think Bobbilynn compares pretty well.

Colorado 2011

We have been back from vacation for two weeks now but the whirlwinds doesn't seem to slow down.  I'm posting pictures of our trip and hoping to get a few stories about it up soon.   To sum it up, he had a great time as usual.  We love Pagosa Springs.  It was colder than we thought, but we were still well prepared for the low temperatures.  We saw snow, rain, hail and some sun in our visit.
