50 years and a day.

50 years of marriage is an amazing accomplishment in this day and age.  Chris and I were thinking and we will be in our 80's by the time we get there.    This weekend we helped celebrate a 50th anniversary.
Uncle Chuck and Aunt Aggie celebrated 50 years and a day on June 25, 2011.  Very impressive.  Lots of family and great memories.
 Of course Gran brought surprises
And there was a pretty cake.

 Pa entertained with some reading.
 Archer found some markers

Here is most of our part of the clan....including Mister Mason.

And so it starts...

Today Christian made this and posted it on his door.  It is our first "STAY OUT" sign.  Christian was frustrated with Archer because Archer wanted to play in the fort Christian had made in the living room, but kept knocking it down.

The Voice

I think Christian has been inspired by watching The Voice with me. When I came home last night he was singing "Momma said knock you out...I'm gonna knock you out. uh!"

Then later it was "We will Rock you" by Queen...the words were a little off, but he gets an A for effort.

Then came superhero. This song is one of our favorites by Go Fish.

More bouncy house fun

Untitled from teri wenck on Vimeo.

The thing I am loving about the age the boys are at is that they are great friends. They love to play together. Christian climbed to the top and waited for Archer so they could slide down together. Makes a Momma happy that her boys love just being with each other.

More Mason and our fun weekend

Christian and I were able to visit Mason yesterday.

Here is Mason showing his Elvis lip.  We also celebrated Gran's birthday. Finally Gran gets a surprise!  But Christian still had to ask if she had surprises for them.

Then Sunday we went to a party for our soccer friend Archer...YES we know another Archer, how cool it that!
Our Archer is now in love with bouncy houses!  He is asking to go to "his" bouncy house right now.
There was also a foam pit...it was very deep and ate socks.  Archer entered with two socks and left with zero socks.
Our buddy Landon and his family came to the party too.

Here are all the kiddos making funny faces.  There were about 30 kids there...WOW!

Did I mention Archer LOVED the bouncy house!

If I had twins

I think this little movie is what I would have it Christian had been twins.

Movin' on up...

Today was the end of an era. An era of daycare/preschool. Today Christian completed his transformation from a caterpillar into a butterfly.

The first room at his school is the caterpillar room.  Here is a picture at about the age he started daycare.  He was already making special friendships.  The first was with his early morning teacher Miss Jana.  She also had a new grandson names Rocky.  Christian and Rocky became fast friend over shared pancakes for breakfast.

Here he is in the Lamb room.  They loved to play dress up.  Here he is with a card from his whole class. It was a get well card after he had to be hospitalized for asthma at 18 months old.
Here he is in his Dove years.  I think this is where he developed his love of blankets.
Here is a fishy age picture.  He spent more time in the fish class than any other.

And here is a recent picture, prime butterfly time.

Now Archer is moving up too.  He is moving from Dove to Fish.  I think Miss Diana was his first official crush.  He loves Miss Diana.

Here I made the boys stand in front of each room's door for old time (and blogging) sake.
