Bucket List

So I don't really have an official bucket list.   Yes, there are some places I want to see before I die (Washington DC and Hawaii), but there was one thing that jumped to the top of  my would-be list when I heard about it last summer.  George Strait was planning his last tour..."The Cowboy Rides Away" Tour and as luck would have it he was coming to Austin, TX one last time.  I was determined and I mean determined to not  miss this show.  See, I have NEVER seen George in concert.  I have seen plenty of others (Garth, Reba, Willie, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, Dwight Yokum, Brooks and Dunn,) but never George Strait.

So I heard you could join the GS fan club and get a pre-sale link to buy tickets.  DONE!  I had marked the sale date on my calendar and just waited.  The day arrived and I spent about 2+ hours trying to get through and landed 4 tickets.  Not the greatest seats, but seats nonetheless.

I received the tickets and keep them safe until concert time.  We had such a busy December, I kind of put it out of my mind.  Then came the week of the concert and my excite was growing.  I had already decided to take Christian.  I thought he was old enough to enjoy the concert and stay up that late.  Chris was my other ticket, so that left just one ticket.  The ticket ended up with my cousin Shelby.  In Shelby I had a singing partner and a standing partner :)  We all had a blast.  The sense of history wasn't lost on Shelby and I, (Christian, maybe)
My office attire on the Friday of the concert included my "40" boots (gift from my Mom on my 40th birthday)
Christian received a whole new cowboy outfit for the concert!
He is quite the poser too!

 Waiting somewhat patiently

Christian was such a trooper.  Days after the concert he was telling friends at school that he liked it, but it was just really long for him.

Here is the play list from the concert.  I think I might have to create my own ipod playlist so I can relive the concert.
