Halloween 2011

Gran joined us for Halloween...she even dressed up.

We made our way to the retirement community in the neighborhood.  There was lots of traffic there because they give out great candy.

Then it was off to make a trip about our block.

Mr. Joe has the scariest house on the block.

Then it was off to the carnival.

Mason was there!

We even saw our buddy Landon and his family.  Great minds think alike...Super Mario TWINS!!!!

Fast Forward

Wow, can't believe it has really been almost 2 months since I last posted something on the blog.  Lots has happened since them.  I will try and catch up fast.

Great time in Vegas for the Tringo Smootle wedding.

Then came a super Fun Halloween

Then came a great Thanksgiving.  We were home and hosted family and some friends all weekend.  It was great.

Now here we are in December.  I attended my first holiday party with the ladies at the church (aka Church Chix).  We had a lively ornament exchange.  Seeing grown women steal cute ornaments, like frogs, snowmen, and hot pink fake christmas trees is something else.   Today was a dramatic portrayal of a "Not so silent night at the Church".  It was a different take on the birth of Jesus and very interesting.  Our cousin Shane had a prime role as a protector angel.  He was dressed like a super hero and that was a BIG hit with the boys.
Archer was slow to warm up to him, but once he saw it was Shane he took to calling him "Super Shane"
Here is Super Shane and the boys.

  Archer keeping his distance.

Our friends Foxy and his momma Krystal came to see the performance too.

Christian and Fox are good buddies.

Don't tell him about this season...he is still a BIG fan of "Hook 'Em"

Sorry for the delay in posting. I will try to be better with the holidays, but my computer is old and slow.  I have asked Santa for a new one, so we will see what happens.

Halloween 2009

Christian asked to get in his "super suit" early in the day. We had a busy morning and both Mom and Dad were super tired. I wasn't going to be the tough mom and say no...it was Halloween and kids live for this stuff. Archer was also in his super suit early at the special request of his brother.

Archer wasn't feeling well. At first we thought it might be the flu, but there hasn't been much fever so we are now thinking more like a cold or just runny nose. Archer and Mom stayed home from trick or treating.

Christian however was escorted on his outing by Bacon, Egg and Darth Vader (aka Dark Mater).

I made Christian say the full phrase he learned..."Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat." I always remember my Dad telling us to say that.

Here is the Dynamic Duo for the one outside photo op since Robin was sick.

So to back up just a little bit. It was a rough morning. I had met Mom early to get the boys because Archer was up all night coughing and running a slight fever at her house. She will admit her worry factor goes up ten times as a gran so I picked them up early.
I was so focused on Archer and even thinking he might have the flu that well, I kind of forgot about the clock and let Christian miss his afternoon nap. Well at one point while I was out of the room and he was watching TV, he just took his own little nap.

It was a great Halloween that lasted about 10 days for us. Everyone is a little exhausted today and we are little off schedule with the time change.

Halloween 2009 - Party #1

The Kingwood Friends always throw a fun Halloween party.   This years party theme was SciFi/Fantasy.  Here are some pictures from the party.  Chris and I were 2 characters from Battlestar Galatica.  If you haven't heard of it, that's okay.  It was a series on SciFi Channel that Chris loved to watch.  It was a modern take on the 1970s series.  Debbie was Counselor Troi for the Star Trek Series (from the 1990's I think).  Debbie is a High School Counselor, so it was a perfect fit for her.

Battle Star was well represented, and the cool thing was we were all different characters from the same show.
