snips and snails and puppy dog tails
Daddies and cane poles
and sharing a fishing hole.
Lizards and frogs
and balancing on logs.
Adventure and delight
and campfire at night
Laughter and charm and trips to the farm
Bikes after school and playing it cool.
Fire trucks and hoses and freckels on noses.
Helmets and hats and footballs and bats.
Running and sliding and tackles colliding.
Feathers and vests and saving the west.
Dragons and dinosaurs
and guards for castle doors.
Friendship and fun and enjoying the sun.
Wiggles and hairuts and giggles and funny looks.
Hugs and kisses and middle-of-the-night wishes.
That's what little BOYS are made of.
So now we are just waiting and wondering. Will this little man have his big brothers red hair, pretty blue eyes and cute nose? Will he have his Pop's smile or his Dodaddy's hands? Will he have is Daddy's disposition or maybe his Mom's. Maybe he will have the best of both or heaven help us, the worst. Whatever he may be, he comes into a family full of love, anxiously awaiting his arrival.
