The case of Archer and the wiggly eye

May 1, 2013  - I receive a call at my office from Terry, the assistant directory at Archer school.  "Hi Teri, its Terry, well um, I don't know how to say this." Me - "Uh oh, what happened?"  Terry "Well, Archer put a wiggly eye up his nose." Me "What?!" about this time I start laughing, I can hear Miss Debbie, Archer's teacher in the background laughing, well you just have to laugh about a wiggly eye up a 4 year olds nose.

Then Terry tells me the story. Archer was sitting in circle time and started to get really upset and cry.  Miss Debbie tries to calm him down and find out what is wrong.  He calms down and tells her "I stucked a wiggly eye up my nose and it hurts"  Well there you have it!

Terry made him bend over and try to sneeze, that didn't work.
She made him look up and looked up his nose for the eye but didn't see anything.

I was able to make an appointment with our pediatric about an hour later.  She saw it way up there!!!  She tried to get it out with an alligator tool...no luck.  So she made an appointment for later in the day with an ear, nose and throat doctor at a near by hospital for us.  She warned us not to eat or drink anything until after we went to the ENT doctor appointment at 1:30pm just incase he had to take Archer to the OR to get it out...YIKES!!!

A side note to all this is that Chris had just gotten back into town the night before after being on a guys trip for four days.  Needless to say he had perfect timing.  Had this all happened when he was gone, I may never have let him leave town without us EVER AGAIN.

So Chris meet us at the ENT doctors office at 1:30.  We get called into the exam room and tell the nurse everything. She leaves and tells us the doctor will be right in.  Archer has been sniffing and sneeze a lot this whole time.  Chris hears a few sniffs in a row and says "Archer blow out."  Archer does and the wiggly eye and a bunch of snort land right on the sleeve of Chris' dress shirt!  Hooray the wiggly eye is out!
