STAR WARS

Our time at Hollywood Studios for Star Wars weekend deserves its own posts.  Star Wars weekends fall on 4 weekends in May and June at Hollywood Studios each year.   We had been planning for Star Wars weekend since we first booked our trips.  This was a big day for the whole Wenck/Choate crew.
We got an early start, but not early enough since the park opened at 8am.
When we arrived Storm Troopers were guarding the front gate.  They called us Rebel scum.

We asked some folks on the bus that looked like pros and they told us some scoop.  Head over to "Darth's Mall" and get in line for pictures with either Luke & Leia or R2D2 and C3PO.  That was our first stop.  We got in line early and were 5th in line.
Luckily we got our chance to meet the Droids.  Our personal favs.  C3PO was very nice and asked if we liked Star Tours.  We told him we loved it and had already ridden it 3 times.
Darth's Mall was a Star Wars lovers dream store, so we didn't leave with out getting a few goodies.
Next Christian and I head off to ride Star Tours one more time.  From our line we could see the Jedi Training that Abby had attended earlier in the week.
Next we headed over to meet Anakin.  Abby joined us and both She and Christian talked with him and got autographs.

The Choates headed over in the hopes of getting a picture with Luke and Leia and we headed around the park to see who we could meet.  We stood in a line in the hopes of meeting Capt. Rex, but the rain started and the signed was postponed.  Christian was lucky to see Capt. Rex walking across the park and said hi.  After lunch we spent a little time hiding from the rain and waited for our fast pass to Toy Story Mania (just had to get in one more of those).

The girls got their change to meet Luke and Leia (side note, through out the day I would say Luke and Laura, oops, guess that tells you how old I am)

We had a little fun with the Storm Troopers too.

In advance of the trip I ordered the kids all Star Wars shirts with their names on them from an Etsy shop and the shirts were a big success.  C3PO greeted the boys with "Well hello, you must be Christian and you must be Archer"...it was all very cool.  We had several people ask about them during the day.
