Character Parade

It has been great to see "Christian the kindergartner". It has been fun to see him and the kids from his class get to know each other and love to learn.  My prayer for Christian was that he love school.  That he would enjoy going everyday and have a desire to learn.  So far that prayer has come true.  He LOVES school.  At his 6 year well check with the pediatrician she asked what his favorite thing about school was.  His reply was "recess".  Now that doesn't sound like a kids just loves school, it is the next questions that set me at ease.  She then asked what he liked least about school.  He went on to explain that he liked reading, the liked PE, he liked music, he liked Art, he liked science, he liked math, then he said he liked all of school.  The doctor looked at me and said "Is that true Mom?"...thankfully YES!  He really likes school.

There are lots of fun things planned at school to get kids excited about learning.  There was the field trip to a farm, the play about heroes, the field trip to the museum to learn about Dinosaurs and most recently the character parade.

For the character parade the kids we asked to dress up like their favorite character.  In this video out class starts out with the Cat in the Hat.  There was a Splat the Cat, Clifford, Skippyjon Jones, Dumbo, Pooh bear, Harold and the purple crayon, Martha Speaks, and Christian (along with another friend) were Froggy. Christian was Froggy from "Froggy gets dresses".  Froggy gets dressed to play in the snow so hence the hat, mittens and scarf.
