We headed west with the young men and went to Alpine, Texas to watch the Sul Ross Lobos sweep the Texas Lutheran University Bulldogs in baseball. We know the Lobo's catcher...he is our cool cousin Cameron.
Alpine is a sweet little town in the middle of west Texas. I can see the appeal. The weather was beautiful everyday and perfect baseball weather.
It doesn't hurt that the field where the Lobos baseball is a great park. There is a long storied history to Kokernot field.
We weren't the only ones to visit Cameron in Alpine this weekend.
Gran and Pa made the trip.
Along with Sandra and his Grama Madge
The Lewis family came to visit from Fort Stockton. They used to attend church with us at South Austin Church of the Nazarene. It was fun seeing them. Emma and Issac are studing baseball and softball.
Issac received a signed ball for his very own
Several of our crew went to MARGA (aka Marfa...ask Shannon about MARGA next time you see her) for pizza. It was so good. The veggie pizza was by far the best. The pizza place is called Pizza Foundation. I highly recommend it if you find yourself out that way.
We did a little touring around town. One stop was the Museum of the Big Bend.
This was a cool brand.
A few brave souls ventured out to see the mystery Marfa lights. I saw them...I believe.
The highlight of the weekend by far was the fun times with family and friends watching some great baseball.
